Northeast Woodlands experience is about traditional Maine woodsmanship and hunting. Our camps are canvas wall tents that you cannot drive to so be prepared to carry your gear at least 500 yards. We only host traditional archers, but do make exceptions for disabled archers in the company of a traditional archer.
Traditional Archery is not for everyone, and neither is our camp. There is no internet or cell service so if you have to check in at home bring an InReach or other satellite communicator. We strongly encourage the proper use of ScentLock suits as described in Bowhunting Pressured Whitetails. Bears always circle before coming in. We have bears, but if they smell you, well, that's on you.
Our canvas wall tents have wood stoves for those cold nights. All cooking is done over an open fire and you will participate in meal preparation and cleanup. Bring your own sleeping bag and pillow and a towel. The camp does have a hot water outdoor shower, propane fired. There is no electricity.
